Can I install The Home Fireman myself?

The Home Fireman is shipped fully assembled, with instructions, and ready to install. Once installed, you'll feel the sense of added protection.
The American Handyman Club lists The Home Fireman as a "Recommended Product" after a 12-month trial. If you have basic handyman skills and can run a standard water line, you may wish to install the unit yourself.
Installation requires that you cut one hole in the wall, secure the back box and run a cold water line to the unit. The snap-off frame detaches easily from the unit and leaves a box that fits between 16" wall studs. When reattached, the frame covers the cut in the wall. Most jobs will not require wall repair.
The time required is usually about 2 hours.

Where can I find a professional to install the unit?

Any professional plumber or remodeler should be able to install the unit without difficulty. The fee should be much less than installing a sink, toilet or other fixture requiring drains. Connecting The Home Fireman to a water line is similar to connecting a refrigerator ice maker - all it need is a one way cold water line.
